Life Today…
After college, Vanesha played for the WPSL (Women’s Premiere Soccer League) in Las Vegas and still plays indoor soccer for the Las Vegas Knights on weekends. She also coaches kids individually. Vanesha has also been successful in the business world. She currently works as a Pharmaceutical Representative in Las Vegas.

How Neusport Contributed to Her Success…

Vanesha definitely credits Neusport with helping her reach success. “It’s a huge club. When you have those clubs that are known throughout the region, like, everyone knows who the Slammers are in California and everyone knew who the Tabagators were in Las Vegas. That kind of differentiates you from other clubs that are here because it’s the biggest club and the club that all the elite players play for. I think that means a lot as far as getting looks from the (college) coaches. Not only that, but the coaching staff; they’re high caliber, all of them are licensed, all of them have played at a high level themselves. She also thinks very highly of her ex-Tabagators coach. “Saeed was my number one fan, he really was. Anything that I needed as far as calling college coaches, e-mailing them for me; he pretty much did a lot of that for me; even getting us to go to the tournaments, getting us out there. I think that’s what really differentiated the club; they are really there for the players and they’re really about helping their players get to the next level.” Vanesha states that while playing on Neusport teams can be competitive, it’s more about having fun. “It was fun then; it wasn’t like college at all. College is pressure because if you’re on a scholarship then that’s their money. In a club, it’s fun. You’re traveling, you’re going to regionals, you’re meeting boys!”

Vanesha’s Saeed Testimonial…
“Saeed is the most energetic, passionate person. He really puts himself into it. He’s caring, supportive and helpful yet tough when he needs to be. He’s taught me every move that I know.”

Vanesha’s Advice for Getting that College Scholarship…
When asked what advice she would give to kids wanting to play college soccer, she recommends playing throughout high school. “Definitely play between 9th and 11th grade. By 11th grade you pretty much know where you’re going to go. Those are the most important years to really set yourself apart from everyone else. It’s good know the things that you need to do in order to get to the next level, not just by playing, but also by being a good person, being good in school, because they look at those things also. It’s not just your athletics; you have to be a good student as well. Also, don’t wait for anyone to do anything for you; you have to do it yourself. Look to your parents for help and support; those are the people that really do care about you and want the best for your life.” Her final piece of advice for aspiring soccer stars is simple yet essential, “Be confident in yourself and know what you want. You need to hold on to your dreams so they will come true.”
